How to Build
This project uses CMake as the build system. You can build it from the command line or from an IDE with CMake integration.
Project Structure
The project consists of two repositories:
| Repository | Purpose |
|---|---|
| knx-iot-point-api-stack | Core KNX-IoT stack library |
| knx-iot-point-api-demos | Demo applications (LSAB, LSSB, EITT, HEMS) |
The demos repository fetches the stack automatically via CMake FetchContent.
If you clone both repositories side by side, the demos build detects the local
stack copy and uses it directly instead of downloading.
Build Guides
Detailed build instructions live in the demos repository:
| Platform | Guide |
|---|---|
| Linux / Windows | HOW-TO-BUILD.md: prerequisites, CMake presets, MSYS2/MinGW setup, VS Code and Visual Studio guides, plain CMake |
| Zephyr (embedded) | HOW-TO-BUILD-ZEPHYR.md: full Zephyr workspace setup (Steps 1–14), build options, flashing, serial monitor, troubleshooting |
The stack repository README covers standalone stack builds (for running tests).
Compile Options
CMakeLists.txt in each repository root defines compiler and linker flags.
Ports
Stack Features lists the available stack features and ports.
